Google Meet is the easiest one to set up
Meet runs entirely in the browser, which means the Chrome extension is all you need — there is no desktop app to install and nothing to configure. Wazomind captures the audio of the tab your call is in, the same way the browser already does, and adds a panel beside the call that only you can see.
- Add the extension from the Chrome Web Store.
- Open your Google Meet call as normal.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+Y, or right-click the page and choose Start Wazomind on this tab.
- When you share the tab, choose the tab with audio so it can hear the other side.
That is the whole setup. It works on personal Gmail accounts and Workspace accounts alike, because it never touches your Google account at all.
How this differs from Google's own "Take notes for me"
Google added Gemini note-taking to Meet, and it is good at what it does. Two practical differences matter:
It requires the right Workspace plan. Gemini note-taking is tied to specific Workspace tiers and has to be enabled by an administrator. If you are on a personal account, or your admin hasn't turned it on, it is not available to you. Wazomind runs on your own machine regardless of what plan your organisation bought.

Meet shows every participant, and a notetaker bot appears in that list with a name like "Otter.ai Notetaker". On an external call — a prospect, a client, a candidate — that is the first thing the other side sees, and it changes the conversation before you have said anything. Some organisations also refuse to admit unknown participants from the waiting room, so the bot never gets in at all.
